A good way to stay competitive is to determine exactly what it is you need to do in order to remain a major force in your industry. This is called your “critical success factors”.

 


Usually these factors are industry specific. Also, your direct competition will probably share these factors with you. Brainstorm or research what it is for your business.


These factors can range from customer influenced to management influenced. Some companies can have more than one critical success factor. Others may only have one. It can be as simple as “a great customer service department” or more complicated such as involving the very structure of the company.
