MetaCrawler is a metasearch engine that searches results from About.com, Ask Jeeves, Google, LookSmart, MSN, MIVA, Yahoo! and other popular search engines. MetaCrawler was originally developed in 1994 at the University of Washington by then graduate student Erik Selberg and Associate Professor Oren Etzioni. It was acquired by InfoSpace, Inc. in 2000. MetaCrawler also provides a toolbar for download, which has similar functions as Google Toolbar.
